Why The Assimilation Blog ?

What I intend to do here is to express and discuss about what happens to cultures all over the world when they tend to disappear on the profit of more popular cultures. Personnally I live in Québec, a province of Canada. My culture (french-canadian culture) tends to be tossed on the side by the world wide dominant Anglo-saxon culture wish is the one of 7.7% of Quebec's population 1 and 67.1% of Canada's population 2. I will speak about Quebec's situation, but also situation of other cultures all over the world who could live the same kind of problem. For example, the situation of the Berber culture living assimilation from arabic culture in the Mahgreb or breton culture in France being willingly ignored by nation wide prominant french culture.
